DCC (N,N-Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide) (CAS:538-75-0) is a carboxyl activator for peptide synthesis and a condensation agent for amide, ketone and other compounds. Formyl esters are used for stereochemical structure inversion and saponification of secondary alcohols. Together with DMSO, alcohols were converted to aldehydes and ketones by Pfitzner Moffatt oxidation.

 

It is used for dehydration of amikacin and amino acids. It is a good low temperature biochemical dehydrating agent. It is also used for the synthesis of acids, anhydrides, aldehydes and ketones. In Japan, dehydrating agents for glutathione account for 90% of the total consumption. When the product is used as dehydration condensation agent, it can be prepared by short time reaction at room temperature, and the product after reaction is dicyclohexylurea. Because the solubility of the product in organic solvent is very small, the reaction product is easy to separate; at the same time, because the product is difficult to dissolve in water, the reaction can continue even in aqueous solution. The product is also used for the synthesis of peptides and nucleic acids. It can be easily synthesized from compounds with free carboxyl group and free amino group at room temperature, and the yield is very high. It is used for the production of vasopressin and cyclic adenosine monophosphate.

 

N,N-Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) is a powerful dehydration reagent, which is widely used in the synthesis of amides, esters and anhydrides. At the same time, DCC has been widely used in the oxidation of alcohols to ketones, the conversion of primary amides to nitriles, and the conversion of β - Hydroxyketones to α, β - unsaturated ketones.
