Bremelanotide acetate is a cyclic heptapeptide. Bremelanotide Acetate (PT-141 Acetate), a synthetic peptide analogue of α-MSH, is an agonist at melanocortin receptors including the MC3R and MC4R for the treatment of sexual dysfunction.

PT-141 (bremerlandan acetate) is a drug developed in the United States for the treatment of sexual dysfunction. At present, it has completed phase III clinical trials and is effective for both male and female patients, especially the only effective candidate for female patients with frigidity.
