General Description
Diabetes is a metabolic disorder characterized by long-term hyperglycemia, which is one of the most common chronic diseases in the world. As Novo Nordisk's second GLP-1RA drug, Semaglutide 's research and development strategy draws on the company's first GLP-1RA drug, Liraglutide, to modify the sequence structure of endogenous GLP-1 and extend the plasma half-life by modifying the fatty acid side chains on the peptide chain skeleton to bind to human albumin.
