Application of peptides in cosmetics (1)

Peptides are the constituent segments in the protein structure, which are connected by a certain sequence of amino acids through amide bonds. Peptides composed of two amino acids are called dipeptides, and those composed of three amino acids are called tripeptides. The peptides that can be applied in cosmetics are mostly small molecule peptides between dipeptides and decapeptides. Small molecule peptides with five toxins, high activity and easy absorption, have special physiological activity effects, can improve a series of skin problems in essence, and have good effects in cosmetic applications. The small molecule peptides used for cosmetic effects are called cosmetic peptides.

Aging of the skin

The aging, wrinkling, and dullness of human skin are composed of various internal and external factors. Excessive sunlight (UV) exposure is one of the important reasons, as well as the renewal of the epidermis, the ability of the dermis to clear foreign chemicals, and the decrease in immune response temperature regulation, which can all cause skin aging. But the main reason for skin aging is that free radicals in the body disrupt normal cellular behavior and accelerate cell aging. Therefore, clearing or inhibiting free radicals can prevent or alleviate skin aging.

Peptides play an important role in the growth, development, and metabolism of organisms, and also play a crucial regulatory role in the natural aging and care processes of the skin.

1. Anti wrinkle and anti-aging peptides

One of the most significant features of skin aging is the increase in facial wrinkles. It will gradually develop with age, accompanied by a series of biochemical, histological, and physiological changes in the skin, and influenced by external environmental factors.

Argireline

Anti wrinkle peptides can be produced using either Argirelinepowder (which can easily dissolve in water) or Aquiline solution (with a concentration of 0.5g/L). Argirelinesolution is added in the final stage of cosmetic production at a preparation temperature below 40 degrees Celsius. Ultimately, a product with a content of 3-10% (measured by the concentration of achillin) will be obtained, which will exhibit significant anti wrinkle activity.

Palmtioyl Tripeptide-5

Sequence: Pal Lys Val Lys OH

Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 is the most widely used cosmetic small molecule peptide, which mimics the production of collagen in the human body through tissue growth factor (TGF-Beta), thereby achieving the goal of wrinkle repair. Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 is mainly used for anti wrinkle care on the face, eyes, and neck.

Palmtioyl Pentapeptide-3

Sequence: Pal Lys Thr Thr Lys Ser OH

Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 is a messenger peptide mainly used for wrinkle resistance in the face and eyes. Adding a 3% concentration of palmitoyl pentapeptide-3 cream can be used for a long time, without irritation or allergies.

Melanotan 2

Melanotan 2 is a synthetic peptide that belongs to the category of cyclic peptides and can achieve skin darkening effects when combined with sunlight exposure. Compared to natural blackness, melanotan 2 10mg effect is more long-lasting, requiring only a small dosage to maintain a bronze colored skin color. Less adverse reactions.
